Moderator Post

Welcome to SJR Brooklyn blog to discuss concerns/issues /plan of actions

This is a customer area and builder representatives are not welcome !!

To introduce myself-I am the blog moderator
This idea of setting up an internet blog crossed my mind one day and it took few days from conception to realization.

This is my debut attempt in setting up or posting on a blog and I consider lucky to post and set up my first one here :)

BTW ,myself a brooklyn customer who booked an apartment in D block. Now awaiting their target date of completion and eagerly watching their not so appreciable progress .

I cant say their customer service is too bad. They have been very prompt whenever a payment is due but very sluggish when it comes to have your concern or questions attended.

This is just my personal opinion.

I am starting to get the feeling that there is some room of misleading information in their payment schedules .Specifically when it comes to the "Additional expenses" category.

More about this later ...

Before I end this short note ,welcome everyone !!

Lets use this forum and power of internet to discuss the concerns about SJR Brooklyn between us customers .I certainly believe that the power of collective bargaining can work wonders ..

Please dont use this blog for non SJR Brooklyn discussions. It takes only few minutes to set up one for yourself :)

Lets keep this blog clutter free so that its easy viewable .
Not to mention suggestions are always welcome.

Thanks and good luck

Looking forward to meet my neighbours at SJR Brooklyn right here , long before we actually come to become real neighbours

Welcome to SJR Blog Neighbourhood !!

Thanks

Thanks Martin for getting us all together. I live outside B'lore, hence don't know what the builders are up to. I did get mail regarding the additional expenses---it includes payments for water, electricity connections, registration etc etc. I believe the bore wells in the site are dry!!

Hi friends,

Thanks Martin for your efforts in starting this blogsite.

I am Hareesh (working in ITPL) booked an apmnt in brooklyn,E 601.

I couldn’t attend any of earlier meetings. But mostly would attend this week (on Wednesday) meeting. I wanted to raise two issues with the builder.

1) About the penalty of Rs.3/sq.ft/moth from builder for any delay of completion mentioned in the agreement. Have this been discussed earlier and have had a sensible explanation from builder?

2) About the last term payment of remaining 15%. Builder has already issued letter to me with deadline for payment and 18% penalty for any delay on this, I guess to most of you too. To my knowledge, this payment need to be made only once the apartment is ready for occupation (and not just for registration). And it doesn’t seem that E block is ready for occupation by now. Shall all of us take a decision NOT to make this payment (last installment) at this stage?

Regards,
hareesh

I do share the views of Hareesh.

We need to bring up the point to delay the payment until the project progresses further.

Hi all,
We're prospective buyers of an apartment in SJR brooklyn. The builder said he has few flats left. From what I read on the blog, the delay in getting the flats ready was a primary concern. If I understand correctly, it should not be a problem now as the flats are already ready..?Also,someone here mentioned additional payments in between construction.Again, all that should have been covered by the cost quoted by the builder at this point in time since things are already in place? Am i correct? Is there any other major concern faced by residents , regarding quality of construction/maintenance etc? Can someone please share his/her e-mail ID or mail me contact details on deeksha.dudeja@gmail.com for a detialed discussion on the same? Thanks a lot in advance, Deeksha
